Special Issue Introduction
In the past few decades, intelligent robot systems such as robotic manipulators, autonomous marine vehicles (AMVs), and autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) have attracted plenty of attention from the field of control theory and engineering, because the multi-degree-of-freedom (DOF) robot systems have broad application prospects in industrial production and manufacturing, telecommunications, oceanographic data collection, antisubmarine warfare, etc. Artificial intelligence technologies greatly improve robot system efficiency and quality from considerations of autonomous path planning/trajectory generation, expert system, robotics vision, disturbance/uncertainty reconstruction and compensation, etc., making robot systems safe, reliable, and capable of operating in a complex environment. Therefore, the fusion of robot systems and artificial intelligence is an active research field, and this Special Issue welcomes submissions on the latest developments in robot system intelligentization and application of robot system. Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
